I just signed up for the Icebreaker Triathlon. It’s a short race and I am throwing down the challenge to my brothers and their teenage sons.
Join me for a little swim, bike and run on March 28 at the American Fork Rec Center.
If you finish, I’ll buy lunch.
It’s not that long of a race, actually.
A 300 meter pool swim is followed by a 12 mile bike and 5K run.
If you can swim and ride a bike, you can do this — anyone can go 5k, even if you walk it.
If you’re feeling a little crazy, we can ride our bikes back to my house after the race and get another 25 miles in.
Bring it on.
We are feeling, Chinese for lunch. Your on…. Dad is going to have to check his calendar but, Tanner and I will be there.
Eat my bubbles! See you in the pool.
I might not win the swim portion (against Tanner), but I’ll be waiting for you at the finish line to cheer you on as you whimper across.
Sounds like you’re going to have some competition. Don’t cry when the young one take it to you. They are all ready smacking their chops.
Tanner, shame on you. You know better than to let out
air under water to make bubbles!!!!!!. Seriouslu, take it to
them and show them what a stud you are.
Love Ya, Grandma
I am not so sure, have you all seen Jared lately? He can’t even fit into his speedo (not that I have witnessed this…just read about it) he is probably in the best shape of his life. He does 3 spin classes in a row. I can’t make it through one.
It’s the diet coke. I need to stop my addiction.
Yep, Rene, It’s got to be the Diet Coke. Now pray tell me what I can use fo an excuse.
It’s not the diet coke — though that probably helps a little — but I’m just eager to go race somewhere doing something.
And this is close, it’s fun and it’s not too hard.
Rene, if you can swim 300 meters, you an do this race, too.
As for JT and Tanner, they might be young, but I think this 40-year-old dude is going to be waiting at the finish line for them with camera in hand to see the pain on their face as they finish.
