Thanksgiving

Once again, I don’t have any pictures, but we had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day with the Kinseys in Vernal.  Thanks to Mom and Jeff for a delicious meal.   We really are very blessed, and it was nice to have a couple of days to visit.

Somebody’s getting old

And it’s not me.

And, since she didn’t want me taking her picture and posting it on the Internet this morning, I’ll have to use a photo of her stunt double.

It’s hard to believe that when I met Shana she was a sweet 19-year-old sophomore in college.

Now, she’s an amazing mom, a super wife and stunningly gorgeous.

Happy birthday to the love of my life.

Mother daughter night

Hey everyone this is Kinsey 🙂

Before i get started i’d like to announce to everyone that the Twilight saga written by Stephenie Meyer is amazing and the movie isn’t half bad either. Well that didn’t sound enthousiastic enough so TTTTTTWWWWWWWWIIIIIIIIIIIIILLLLLLLLLLLLIIIIIIIIIIIIIGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHTTTTTTTTTT IS MY MOST FAVORITEST BOOK EVER AND ANYBODY WHO HASN’T READ IT DOESN’T KNOW WHAT THEY’RE MISSING OUT ON!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you.

I thought it would be fun to post something so I’ll just tell you about our mother daughter night that mom and I had Saturday night. We had planned on watching movie (i know, we’re pretty wild eh? jk) but mom wanted to make chocolate cake instead…? I didn’t really see the fun in that but I like cake so i thought “hey why not”. So we made cake. With applesauce. I don’t know how my grandma figured out you could use applesause in a cake but i’m kind of hoping it happened in some sort of humorous accident like something off of Anne of Green Gables.

Well no matter how she worked that one out it was delicious. 🙂

But funny thing, making cake doesn’t take up half the time watching a movie does.. So after sitting around in the kitchen for like twenty minutes we started playing catch with this monkey that got ripped off my sisters backpack. Random much? I guess we’re just easily entertained.. So we play catch with this monkey and mom starts tossing it really high in the air so I have to jump, catch it, and land on our lovesac. i made some pretty darn amazing catches 🙂

But here’s the best part, so did my mom. Maybe I was just really hyper and thought everything was way funny that night but i got a total kick out of her leaping in the air trying to catch this itty bitty ratty monkey while her hair is flying in her face and she’s laughing like a walrus. 🙂

Mandi bowled me over

Saturday — in an effort to avoid all things BYU vs. Utah and also have a fun time with the family — we decided to go swimming. But somebody (I’m not saying who) did not have freshly shaved legs.

So we went bowling instead.

Everyone LOVED it.

We went to a place with a pizza joint attached and bowled a couple of games. The first game, to no one’s surprise, was dominated by ME! I kicked everyone’s but by about 30 points. What can I say? I rock.

But in the second game, Mandi figured out the motion a little better and her aim improved.

And she won.

Not just by accident. She got a couple of strikes, a couple of spares and kicked some serious daddy butt in the bowling alley.

Emily and Melissa had a blast, too. They had the bumpers up but by the end they almost didn’t need them. Emily was so lucky. I think she’s just got some good-luck charm in her pocket at all times because even if he ball was off target, she’d hit one pin and it would start spinning around and take out another six pins.

Melissa was jumping for joy as only Melissa can do every time she knocked down a bunch of pins.

And Sam, with a little help, really enjoyed himself, too.

Saturday’s are a little pricey at the bowling alley, but fun. We just might have to go back on a Tuesday or Thursday when the price is about half what we paid on Saturday.

Some kid in Florida was arrested because he kept ‘breaking wind’ during class and causing a disruption.

Dang kids these days.

Rivalry weak

Hate it.

It just means more work.

I’m tired of more work.

Carrie Underwood

I have no photos, but Kinsey and I had a great time at the Carrie Underwood concert the other night at the E Center.  My public service message for the day is this:  No matter how hungry you are, never, ever buy the nachos at the E Center.  Most disgusting nachos ever.

It’s because — this is hard to believe — I have run out of things to say.

No, not really. I’m just afraid that if I started talking about the kids, I’d accidentally say what I’m REALLY thinking at the moment.

So, instead of that, here’s a song Shana and I adopted as Melissa’s official theme song when she was just a newborn.

Because she was (and usually still is) the only sweetest thing in the world.
