No, you don’t have to pedal the bike up the Salt River Pass for me.

Rather, you can donate a couple of bucks to the Huntsman Cancer Institute in my name.

Is was spring break from school, so the kids got new spring outfits and posed in our not-quite-spring backyard.

Mandi took a couple of friends to a Jazz game. First, they hammed it up on the train ride to the arena

Then they watched the game

And they got geeky in their seats.

Sam found his glasses, the little ones went to aunt Michelle’s house in Smithfield and we all watched a few movies, went to the park a couple of times and had some Happy Meals and pretty much just chilled all week.

First triathlon of the season was this morning. I think I did well, but I’m still waiting for the official results to be posted.

If you’re a glutton for punishment, here’s a long, long, long recap of the race.

Easter Sunday

Happy Easter!

Samuel, Melissa, and Emily found lots of eggs in our backyard that the Easter Bunny had left!  Check them out in their pretty dresses and Sam’s new clothes.  We had a quiet (well, sort of) day at home except for when we were at church, and we all ate way too much candy!

We forgot to mention

Mandi fell while ice skating with some friends and may have suffered a hairline fracture just above the elbow.

We had some x-rays taken and they showed some signs of damage but no conclusive evidence of a break. Still, to play it safe she got a semi-cast and has had it on for the past 10 days or so.

Friday she goes in for a follow up visit and will probably get that big club taken off. She’s looking forward to that, even if it means she has to do all the un-fun stuff in PE at school.

I have a friend who has season tickets to the Jazz. As a result, he got tickets to a team autograph party and gave a few of them to me.

Mandi, of course, had to go and here she is getting Jason Hart’s autograph. she took a friend with her and they stood in various lines for a couple of hours waiting to get signatures.

She ended up with Jason Hart, Andrei Kirilenko, Jaron Collins, Ronnie Brewer, Ronnie Price and Matt Harping.

The line for Deron Williams was just too long and the one for Paul Millsap was long, too. She sat in it for a long time only to see the time run out when she was about 15 people away. But to be fair, Millsap had stayed for about 30 minutes longer than anyone expected.

She also got the autographs of Jerry Sloan, Phil Johnson, Ty Corbin and Scott Layden.

And she hammed it up for the camera when her friend took the picture.

Ariel has a six pack

After spending the morning in Park City for ski jumping, racing at RMR in the early afternoon and before going to work at night, I took the rugrats to Disney on Ice, Princess Wishes downtown.

Popcorn and pretzel bites was the big splurge at the arena.

I just couldn’t stand the thought of spending $20 on a snowcone in a piece of crap cup or $10 on a 15 page coloring book.

The girls had a blast and seemed happy to be out of the house on a wintry day.

Mandi may have been a little past the level of princess-mania, but Emily and Melissa were right in their element.

Melissa got to see Minnie Mouse — who has been her favorite Disney character forever.

Emily doesn’t really have a favorite but had a really good time watching all the wishes come true. She seemed to really like watching Prince Philip slay the dragon — and who can blame her? I mean the dragon was a glow in the dark/black lighting thing that spit fire and left a trail of flaming ice in its wake.

And well all got to see lots of brightly colored knives, forks and spoons dance around on the ice.

More pictures may be coming later
