Kinsey — you know, the awesome one who has gorgeous hair and infectious personality — is taking Debate as one of her classes this year in school.
Apparently she’s got a gift for gab — as if I didn’t know that already just by looking at our cell phone bill.
Murray High participated in a big debate tournament in St. George last weekend and Kinsey came home with two trophies.
She’s kind of a big deal now.

Tanner’s not the only swimmer in the family.
Emily is part of the Murray Aquatics Club Pre-Comp team and is making quick progress as she learns the strokes.
Her favorite is called the ‘Cherry Bomb.’ She swims a few stokes, then dives and touches the bottom before coming back to the surface and repeating over and over again.
I’ve been swimming in another lane a few times as she practices and she’s pretty good. She looks like a little sea snake slipping through the water so gracefully.
Emily might not be the strongest kid or have the most endurance, but she is improving every time she swims and getting pretty darned good.
Now if only I could get her to ride a bike I’d have another triathlete in the family.
