When Mandi called to announce her arrival in Europe, she said she was having trouble getting her debit card to work. We sent a couple hundred Euros over with her as Plan B, so we knew we were OK for a few days, but I was a little worried about her eating more than other kids’ leftovers.
Then I checked the account a few minutes ago and saw this entry:
ATM OBJETOS ARTE TOLEDAN MADRID $61.87
Good to know she won’t go hungry.

This actually happened last week, but in all the hustle and bustle of the chaotic world we live in, I neglected to post it.
Melissa graduated from kindergarten on Friday and has been telling everyone for about a month that she is a first grader. She really is getting big.
Her program included some pretty cool songs — such as a customized version of the Addams Family theme with kindergarten and first grade lyrics — and the customary diploma with a chocolate chip cookie as a treat.
Melissa sometimes feels like she is in Emily’s shadow because of the close age gap. She also gets overshadowed by our uber-intense Sam even with her own ball-of-fire personality. So it was really good to have a special day for her. She totally deserved it and has grown so much in the last year or so. Her maturity is simply taking off and she’s quite the little lady.
