Last night, Shana and I were doing a big clean up of the main floor in our house. We were sweeping,vacuuming and digging all sorts of stuff out of corners.
When we picked up the rug in the kitchen, we found a large blob of butter shmushed into the floor.
We had our suspicions but all the kids were in bed so we didn’t get to do any interrogating.
Fast forward to this afternoon when Melissa comes home. She wanted some toast for an after-school snack and got out a couple of slices of bread.
Sam, ever the thoughtful helper, said: “I will get you butter.”
He then bent down, picked up the kitchen rug and looked around with a befuddled look on his face as if something was missing.
And with that, the case of the shmushed butter was solved.
